چکیده

Objective: Free-living amoeba (FLA) are protozoa living in soil and natural man-made water systems. They attract much attention owing to the illnesses associated with them their relationships bacteria. In this study, effect of cell-free supernatant (CFS) obtained from FLA against Staphylococcus was investigated. Materials Methods: Environmental strains (A1, A2, A3) were lake swimming pools Istanbul. Acanthamoeba castellanii ATCC 50373 used as standard strain. Clinical (S1, S2, S3) a culture collection at Istanbul University, Faculty Pharmacy, Department Pharmaceutical Microbiology. As strains, MRSA 43300, S. epidermidis 12228, aureus 29213 used. FLA-CFS by centrifuging filtering axenic cultures. Colony counting technique investigate inhibition activities Results: Against 43300 strain, CFSs A. ATCCC A1 showed an efficiency 78.36% 73.47%, respectively. S1 A2 65.64% 15.14%, 29213, only A1-CFS inhibitory (44%). It found that A2-CFSs inhibited S2 strain 26.20% 9.24% S3 A2-CFS 33.33%. No could be 12228. Conclusion: is necessary devise new studies which sample numbers increased when using antibiotic-resistant
